Christian Halleröd
Christian and Ruxandra Halleröd founded their studio Halleroed in 1998, and today it’s one of the leading interior design and architecture studios working from Scandinavia. Their projects range from private to commercial spaces, with an emphasise on international boutique retail spaces for the likes of Toteme, Acne Studios, Byredo, Arket and Axel Arigato. They have collaborated with Tre Sekel on bespoke interiors and furniture for many years. The sturdy square-sided pine armchairs Meden were originally designed by Christian Halleröd for the Nordic Museum in Stockholm and is now in production by Tre Sekel.
Emma Olbers
Emma Olbers is a Swedish designer and environmentalist. Her mission is to design good products in all aspects, including being good for our planet. She strongly believes that everyone should contribute to a more sustainable society, and this is reflected in every step of her design process. Her first products for Tre Sekel were launched in 2013 and includes the popular stick sofa Greta and chair Arnold. Olbers recently accomplished the interiors for Ersta Hospital in Stockholm. “I believe that sustainability and product life-cycles are key concerns and I strive to incorporate it into all my work,” says Emma Olbers.
Matti Carlson
Matti Carlson is a designer and maker. He has a long background in sound post production for feature films and series, but changed direction to work more hands on with things that sustain. Today he divides his time between Stockholm and Tibro, where he is involved in the Tre Sekel production process with building a modern and responsible way to produce high quality furniture. His dining table Hommage Grande for Tre Sekel launched in 2018 and has since then grown into a family of tables. His table Orthogo launch in 2024.
Lotta Agaton
Lotta Agaton runs one of Scandinavia’s leading interior design studios, offering clients help with branding, creative direction, styling and interior design concepts. She has a long relationship with Tre Sekel, with continuous collaborations on bespoke interiors and kitchens for both commercial and private clients. The LA kitchen objects, designed by Lotta Agaton and set in production by Tre Sekel 2024, offers a link between the Tre Sekel furniture collection and their bespoke kitchens, and emphasise their collaborations with leading interior designers in Scandinavia.
Staffan Holm
Staffan Holm design studio works with projects in interior architecture, industrial design and furniture design. With a background as a fine cabinet maker, Staffan Holm founded the studio in 2008 after graduating from School of Design and Crafts (HDK) in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since then he has collaborated with many international brands including Abstracta, Hem and Ariake. His first product for Tre Sekel, the Ascetic bar chair, launch in 2024.
Carl Malmsten
As one of the leading designers and interior architects of his time, Carl Malmsten has had a major influence on both domestic and public spaces in Scandinavia and beyond. Throughout his life he founded three schools, wrote several books and, with a strong commitment to environmental thinking, he was a well-known cultural debater. When Carl Malmsten passed away 1972, he left more than 20 000 furniture sketches and drawings behind. Today Tre Sekel has the licence to produce Skedblad, Visingsö and Sörgården by Carl Malmsten.
